Secretary - Deborah Thompson
The responsibilities in a church office are numerous.  As secretary of New Town UMC, I am blessed to help the different ministries and leaders.  Along with answering the phones, preparing the bills for the accountant, answering the emails, scheduling rooms for meetings, sending letters to visitors and keeping the data base current; a weekly bulletin  and a monthly newsletter are prepared to keep the congregation informed of the up coming events at New Town.  Each week I update the power point of announcements and prepare a new power point for the service to help the congregation during the service.  These responsibilities are just to name a few.  Special word of thanks is given to the faithful volunteers who come to help make the tasks light.  Blessings!
